Hi, I’d like to wire my air suspension switch on my haltech keypad (it’s a stance parts kit with cups).
It’s been in my car for a while and wired as shown in the diagram.
It work like this: key powers the pressure switch. Depending on the pressure inside the air tank, it starts the compressor or not.
Then I have an ON/OFF switch to operate the air valves to go up and down. I’d like to operate the valves on the keypad.
Any advice on how to set this up ?
Thanks.
What other devices do you have in addition to the keypad? What model ECU, PDM, Dash? Knowing what you have to work with, someone with knowledge of those devices might be able to suggest the best approach.
I have an haltech S3, uc10, can hub, keypad.
I would try something like this:
Use NSP setup your S3 to control the up/down valves, first configure Connections->CAN->Haltech CAN System to enable your Keypad
Then Configure Generics->Generics Outputs to enable a couple of outputs, name them something like Suspension Up and Suspension Down, Signal Type: State, Mode: Condition. Set the Condition to be KeypadxxxBtnxxState Equal To On, and configure the wiring to use an DPO (digital output) then connect that to the ground side of your solenoids.
That should give you the gist of how to get this going. Of course, I don't have your car or a way to verify this, but I think that's the right approach.
You might need to make the conditions more complicated, if the outputs need to stay on when the button is not pressed, or something. Not sure how the air system switch works (momentary or switch on for up, and off for down, etc).
Hi David, thank you for taking the time.
I managed to resolve my issue.
Air valve solenoid is 12v on both pin. When pressing the switch ON, 1 pin of the solenoid pin gets 0v then operating the air valve to up the car.
Switch OFF will put 12v again and drop the car.
So 1 pin from the solenoid is on battery +, the other pin I wired to a spare DPO from my dash.
I took a screenshot of the setting in NSP, if this can help someone.
