Hello all,

I'm reaching out to you for some help & advice. I would like to dispense with the distributor as a cam position sensor on my TR6 and configure something on the camshaft sprocket....I'm told this will be more accurate, but I'm unsure it's particularly necessary. Anyway, is there something I could fix to the sprocket and hold in place by one or two of the 6 bolts (photo attached) to use as a trigger? I can modify the access panel on the timing cover (photo also attached) or make a new one to accommodate a sensor. There is potential clearance issues between what would be the sensor and fan belt, so a short item or even a "right angled" item would be preferable.

Your thoughts please....
