greetings peeps trying to wrap my head around close loop idle.. first off started by having the car idle where i want in Open loop and my base position is set with values to keep it there. my thing is with the close loop activated looking at the E throttle motor DC% adding and subtracting. My question is would this be a % of the Number that's in the base position table and not the range of the Throttle body. ill add a photo as example.

Looks like your base idle position is too low, as you are still (slightly) below your target using 3.9% throttle and with 10deg Ignition advance. When you are in open loop, what is the ignition timing at 2.4% throttle? Is it the 5% that you have as the ignition target? I think in open loop you would set the base position to hit your target at 5deg BTC ignition timing.

I would just keep updating the base position table to values the closed loop was able to make work at the target ignition timing.

thanks had been able to get it idling much better. my next approach is the startup! its taking a while before first time start up. it was pretty good before i did the swap over to dbw.
