I admit I'm lacking a lot of skills to adequately investigate this. I'm still working through all the courses that HPA has to offer.
Short and sweet, I have a MB 2014 W204 C250 sport. The camshaft adjusters were worn, and I was getting a camshaft position sensor DTC fault, P034062. I replaced the camshaft adjusters, position sensors, camshaft solenoids, timing chain, timing chain tensioner, spark plugs, and coils. When I tried to start it, the ECU through a P0301 code and P0342. I sent the ECU out for repair and they told me that they found a leaking capacitor, and that it had a bad drive. These items were repaired and the unit was sent back to me. I installed, and again got the same codes, with one slight difference: P0301 & P0340.
The technician who did the ECU repair stated that it's likely an issue in the car, because of the blown drive to the ECU, there's likely some other cause. But I'm at a loss as to where to look or how to start investigating this issue.
I appreciate any help anyone can offer.
