Hey guy,

Does anyone have the calibration table for the factory oil temp sensor on the rb26dett. I wired the signal wire from the factory oil temp gauge into the an temp 3 on my vipec v44 ecu.

Thanks

Martin,

If you're splitting the signal from a gauge to the ECU, it's likely being impacted by a pull-up resistor of unknown quantity.

If you want to keep the gauge working, I'd consider leaving that sensor alone and adding another temp sender of known calibration and run it to the ECU.

Another option if you don't have an oil pressure sensor yet would be to purchase a Bosch combo oil temp/pressure sensor. They you get both at once.

Are you wanting to keep the gauge, or are you using a digital dash or CAN gauge(s)?

I actually got rid of the factory gauge. Just wanted to have a signal to go into the ecu. Ok yeah it makes sense that no matter what I did I wasn't able to get a calibration table going.

I would at least try all the built-in calibrations, and see if ambient temp reads close. There are only a few types of resistive temp sensors, and most work with just a few calibrations.

i did try to input the various sensors on the list but unfortunately none of them responded well.

Anyway no big deal for now. thanks anyway guys
