Hi, I have a bmw e30 with a 1.8 4cyl I have added a turbocharger to. Running a megasquirt MS3 Pro Mini ECU.

I'm noticing that on deceleration, (throttle closed, NO decel fuel cut active) my wideband sensor moves all the way lean to 1.35, where the controller maxes out. So I would expect it to run excessively rich in this condition, why is this happening? As soon as I crack the throttle again it goes back to its normal lambda reading almost instantly

What does the fuel table look like in those cells? Does it possibly "fall off" the lower values and perhaps the MS3 then provides a zero pulse width?

What is the ignition setup -- could there be missing ignition events (i.e. to much timing for a distributor, etc), which would just pass air through the engine?

Could there be an exhaust leak that lets air in prior to the Lambda sensor?

Do you have a log you can share showing the issue?

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
