Hello, I purchased the link g4+ knockblock and I am confused on how to interface it with my laptop. Do I use an auxiliary cable to plug into the audio in on my laptop? Also will I need additional software and how would I record audio files?

It is just an audio tuning tool, generally listened to live and not connected to the laptop. However if you want to do frequency analysis or record the audio then you can connect to the mic port on your laptop with a 3.5mm male to male cable. There is a convenient frequency analysis tool in the G4+ PC Link software (>Tuning>knock Audio) but you will need a decent sound card in the laptop to get good enough quality.
