hi,
i'm building a 2jz for a customer.
Its going to run stock intake, pistons, cams and head gasket, we'll just refresh the engine by re-doing the head (new guides, seals, re-seat the valves and light skim of the head)
As i'm unfamiliar with the 2JZ engine i don't know what sizes work best.
The car is going to be used on the street and occasional track day. Nothing serious as the goal is to get around 450-550hp as an absolute max.
So i'd want it to pull early, however i don't want it dropping off early to.
as a reference i know a friend used a GT3076R with .83 exhaust housing and it started to restrict a bit from 5700rpm onwards and drop off till the end.
Also i'd use a Borg Warner so i can ditch the water cooling lines and try something new. (havent ever used Borg Warner)
My idea is the S257SX-E 76/57 compressor wheel, 70 exh with 1.15 twin scroll exhaust housing with an awp exhaust manifold with twin external tial waste gates (to keep it properly divided)
also unsure what size waste gates to use...
please help...
dyno graphs are always a bonus...
