His all, random one. My vct is set to change over at 5800rpm, ideally it wants to be a touch lower as the dyno graph shows a dip in torque then comes back after changeover. I feel it could benifit switching over at around 5400-5500 rather then 5800. If I change this, would It effect the ignition timing I have in the car at that particular spot or could I try changing it with no ill effect. I dont have any det cans at home.
Or is this setting worth saving for when I get it back onto a dyno?
Thanks
If you've got the opportunity to get it back on a dyno you should try making changes on there. Ideally, you'd test it at various points but you could also test it fully on and fully off to find the true crossover point
Yeah 100% agree it will be better on the dyno to see crossover point ect. But I currently dont have access. Thats why im wondering would it effect the timing thats in the tune or is it something I can change without to much worry without having the dyno currently
