Hi all

I have been working through the tuning fundamentals course to try and gain some better knowledge on tubing my own car

its a subaru with an alcatek ecu

its always been poor to start from cold and runs very rich on tickover

today i have been trying to sort this issue out which i have managed to do somewhat with base fuelling etc however i cannot seem to get it as crisp as i would like when i give it a blip of the throttle, if i watch my lambda reading it gos off the scale lean and then rich before settling and will sometimes pop from the inlet i believe. I have a number of tables as i think the fault is to do woth ‘tip in’ from what i have leaent on the course but i dont exactly have that one table to modify in the map.

on the transient fuelling i made a few changes which i think have helped in the ‘accel positive gain’ but there are a few other tables which im not familiar with

can anybody offer any assistance

i will attach a picture of the tables available.

cheers

Could you post a screen grab rather than a photo of the screen? It's easier to see.

From the sounds of what you're describing you're just on the lean side of your initial acceleration enrichment, the rich values you are getting are from once you've closed the throttle and shut the air off, the fuel is still adding from the snap open

I will try

the laptop i use i try to keep off the internet so nothing is corrupted 😂

il get some screenshots tomorrow

i think i have half worked it out now

had some help from a friend and the tables are similar to cosworth stuff from many years ago

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
