hi all.

im in the field of tuning my gc8 wrx without a air temp fitted basically running oem factory componets but adding a link ecu to tune.

my question is i believe the factory MAF sensor does have input internal to detect air temp but not being able to view any live readings through the link g4x my guess to undertsand the output signal be from AN VOLT 2 but not sure if that works.

is there way round it to tune this without air temp sensor added to the tune.

setting up my fuel load to MODELLED- will this tune the car to suit MAF system.

any tips would be much appricated!

You will need to fit an air temp sensor into the manifold or pipe work close to it. Im pretty sure the V6 MAF does not have an internal temp sensor, but even if it did, having an air temp sensor before the turbo and intercooler is not useful for speed density.

thanks for the repose!

would there be a way round tuning the oem system with MAF without a IAT FITTED at all in the maps or the tune be never right without IAT temps being active to show feed back to support the fuel trims

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
