going twin turbo in my Manual WH grange, wanting to tune it myself what’s the best straightforward way to tuning an ls1 to handle low boost safely?
This shouldn't be a massive task using HP Tuners. I'd suggest running in speed density and fitting a 2 bar MAP sensor which would allow you to run up to 1 bar boost. This requires the correct MAP calibration to suit the sensor so that the MAP reads correctly. You'll also need larger injectors and it's important to buy some that offer characterisation data in a GM format so they are essentially plug & play. From here it's a case of setting suitable power enrichment values to suit your boost level. A 2 bar SD patch also provides a MAP based threshold for the transition to PE so you're not just relying on throttle position. Obviously your spark maps will need to be adjusted to suit also.
guessing spark and fueling is the only things i need to touch? can i take 15° out of the whole table and get that to not blow? if yes/no why?
fuelings simple enough… i think
