What could cause my EVO and EVC points to be pretty far off from the cam card specs. EVO and EVC points aren’t off by the same amount either which I learned on the course is usually a sign the valve lash is off. I have triple checked the lash and even tried setting a little tighter or looser to see what that did. My motor setup is basically identical to the worked example in the SR20ve how to degree a camshaft course. I have gone back many times and made sure true TDC was correct both with dial indicator and adjustable hard stop. I had this issue a while back and couldn’t figure it out and just moved on and since have had the engine running so I know it’s not out of time. However much my open point is off my closing point is about double. Any help I would really appreciate I’ve run out of ideas.
