I am wanting to get into tuning my utv and diesel trucks... I was wondering where to start without spending thousands of dollars I don't really have? Also can you make a living in tuning?

Jordan,

As you progress through the HPA courses you get a much better idea of what is involved, the time and tools required. With that info you'll have a much better idea whether it's something you want to pursue further yourself, or just take the knowledge and enjoy having a better understanding of how it all works. You may find it makes sense to tinker with the UTV but not a truck perhaps, once you have the additional info.

The HPA Starter Package is a great start, then the Practical Reflash Tuning course really gets into the tuning process for a gas engine, or the Practical Diesel Tuning course for diesel engine.

Since your interests are varied, it may make sense to go for the VIP package and get all course materials, but it really depends how far you want to go with it.

There are plenty of people making a living tuning, and many enjoying it as a hobby.

As you're in the USoA, it'd also be a good idea to familiarise yourself with the State and Federal laws, as some are quite restrictive with large fines for illegal "tunes" and modifications.

I'm mainly looking into the utv side... is there a way to bench flash multiple devices without paying a vin fee for every vehicle? How do you go about unlocking the new ecms?

Some tuning solutions charge per vehicle and some do not, so that really comes down to which tuning solution you choose to go with.
