working on building more boost on a drag racing snowmobile with a bigstuff3 ecu and I cant seem to get more than 8.5 psi even if I retard more or increase rpm currently using rpm starting line timing would can switch that to load would that work better for my application ?
Are you able to generate more than 8.5 psi once you're actually off the line? I've had this issue in the past where the wastegate or BOV was leaking on the line. I'd try increasing your wastegate duty cycle in small steps in the area the ECU is operating during staging and see if that helps. If the engine uses an external Wg that vents to atmosphere it's always easy to put a piece of race tape across the end of the dump tube and see if the WG is venting. Likewise put a hand around the BOV and ensure that isn't venting while you're at WOT - Some care needs to be exercised obviously as to where you place your hand.
