Hello to all, obviously, I've just joined the ranks of HPA, and as this forum topic states, I'll introduce myself somewhat, and how much of an idiot I am!

So about myself, I've been into cars since I was pretty small, with my dad taking me to classic Mini shows and alike, I'd help him work on his, and help my uncle work on his too, eventually at the old age of 11, my dad got ahold of a horrific Peugeot 106, which he taught me to drive, and that's when my ridiculously over the top love for cars was set in stone, and so, my grand quest began.

After I had finally escaped school, I went to college to study vehicle mechanics, which was pretty much a bunch of stuff I already knew, just a certificate to say I knew it. shortly after those still rather good and fun courses, I ended up in a mechanical engineering course at college that ultimately led to my current job as a precision engineer, programming, running, and even repairing CNC machines, designing and prototyping many different things, ranging from billet aluminium enclosures for TV cameras, to reproduction brake master cylinders for old Morris cars, and as of recently, designing and making my own engine components, starting with billet alloy con rods!

I own a few cars, only one of which currently works (the almighty 1.9 diesel Audi A4). my pride and joy being my 2002, JDM Silvia S15 that I'm in the middle of rebuilding, I bought as a fallback after I couldn't find an R32 GT-R I liked, (which at the time were £7-£10k, I regret not getting even a rough one now) and fell in love with how it felt, and immediately became a car I'll NEVER get rid of. (Yes, I'm fully aware it's an awful Nissan, and yes, it has blown up twice)

And so, onto why I'm interested in learning to tune,

I plan to start my own performance parts engineering company, which will be a very long and difficult road, with only a couple people willing to help me as of yet, I'm making simple things and odd things to help raise money to fund my bigger projects all out of my own pocket so far, and so, I'm pretty determined to carry on until I've achieved my dream.

I hope that a few paragraphs will suffice for a brief introduction. Thank you to anyone who decided to read this junk I wrote, and here's to making many friends (I hope) on this site in the future.
