Hello Everyone!

I’m excited to join the community and finally jump back into the world of motorsports. I'm 46 years old, based out of San Diego, California, and after some time away, I am officially returning to the hobby and passion that has been a lifelong obsession for me.

My background is a bit of a mix across both the physical and digital worlds. Over the years, I’ve gathered experience in:

  • Mechanical Engineering & Industrial Design (The theory and aesthetics)

  • Fabrication (Getting my hands dirty and building things)

  • Game Development & Software Development (The digital logic and coding side)

Now that I'm diving back in, I want to bridge the gap between all these disciplines and focus heavily on the data, electronics, and engineering side of motorsports.

My Learning Goals:

I’m here to treat this as a continuous education project. Specifically, I'm looking to sharpen my skills in:

  • ECU & EFI Tuning: Understanding engine management logic and calibration.

  • Electrical Systems: High-performance wiring, power distribution, and proper data logging.

  • Suspension Tuning: Learning the dynamics, geometry, and real-world setup adjustments.

  • CAD/CAM & Fabrication: Expanding my design-for-manufacturing skills specifically tailored around custom motorsport components.

With my background in software and engineering, I love digging into the why behind how things work. I'm really looking forward to absorbing the wealth of knowledge here, sharing my own build progress, and getting to know you all.

Cheers!

Thats a lot of bullet points, Welcome. What are your current projects?
