with the stock holden commodore ECUs i gather i am supposed to use the software tunerpro / tunerpro rt, and with this comes the files regarding the ECU, in the situation i am in i have the bin file and xdf file for a N/A vy v6 commodore. my questions are as follows;
- what is the bin & xdf files for and how do they work?
- am i locked down to tunerpro with the commodore ECUs / how does that whole tuning software to ECU thing work?
i get the bin file is the binary file, where i think the actual data from the chips on the ecu are held but i am still a noob to this whole game and i have not the slightest clue about the xdf file, if anyone has links to any helpful resources is appreciated.
