Hey guys im a little confused, the course teaches us to adjust the ride height via the lower spring pearch, but when i bought a set of bc gold adjustables for my series 2 rx7, the instructions tell me to adjust the ride height by the lower nut to shorten or lengthen the total strut length

Hi Simon,

I think this is a bit of a catch all statement since not all coilover dampers have adjustable length.

Ride height can be controlled by either method but bear in mind that adjusting the lower spring perch will change the spring preload and the kinematics of the system. You may need to utilize helper springs or different length springs to manage ride height correctly and maintain good dynamics.
