Just a tip for those wanting to display lovely images when you load a thread.

Step one, host the images. For this I use imgbb.com which is a free image hosting site. Great thing with this site is it also gives you the correct image links to post directly into your thread.

Once you upload your selected images it will offer you "embedded codes" Note BBCode is Bulletin Board Code.

For the example below and how I deal with mine is to use the Medium linked code. This makes the pictures not too big and if you want to see the original version you can click on it and it will take you to the host site.

If you paste the code into your thread you will see the image.

As a side note to all this you can also show any image found on the internet via IMG tags.

I have google searched an image. The copied the address from the address bar and wrapped it with image tags like below. Rules are that all tags have the square brackets "[]" and the closing tag has the forward slash "/"

Hope this helps.

very helpful thank you

Can an admin sticky this. Seen so many links to pics that take you away from the site which is a pain.

This way people know what to do and for those reading build threads or responding to questions images on the thread make it so much easier.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
