Tuning BMW variable timing

I'm tuning a 3.0 with the timing variable I was wondering since it my first timing tuning this kind of system do you have any advice the system running it will be vems

The actual ECU won't make too much difference once you actually have the cam control functioning correctly. Beyond that, the system will respond like any other cam control engine.
