Hi guys, I have a problem with a fan, when it is trying to turn on, it shows me the overcurrent error, I have already tried to change the manufacturer's amperage and it always shows me the error every time I try to turn on the fan.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

what is the rated amp draw of the fan? Can you post a screen shot of your settings?

Is it possible the fan is shorted? I feel it most likely you need to increase the inrush settings, fans draw much more current when starting compared to running.

As Tyson said, motors will normally draw more current on start-up.

There should be an option in the current parameters for an over-current delay specifically for this. Of course, there may be a hard limit in-built for the PDM on the power/ground circuit you're using, which will mean changing to a higher rated I/O, pairing two in parallel, or using an external (fused) relay - this would allow a low current I/O to be used for switching which could free up a high for something else.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
