Hi all

just wondering if anyone is able to help, i have a motec pdm and m130 ecu.

i have wired this up myself and everything has gone well but i am stuck as to how to setup the PDM to receive inputs etc from the ecu over CAN. at this stage I'm just wanting to turn on a fuel pump when the ignition is turned on, once i understand how to write this code i should be able to do the rest.

if anyone can help that would be much appreciated.

In your M130 package, configure your Fuel Pump Resource to use "PDM Byte 0 Mask 80" as shown here:

M1 Fuel Pump Setup for PDM

The Prime parameter controls how long the fuel pump with run once the Engine Run Switch (Ignition Switch) is active. The pump will automatically start when the engine is cranking.

I am attaching a PDM config that will demonstrate receiving the standard messages from the m1 as well as controlling a pump and fans under ECU and manual (keypad) control.

Thank you very much David its a massive help, much appreciated

There is also a user guide for this on the MoTeC website, M1 to PDM CAN Messaging User Guide.

David,

In your PDM config above, regarding the PDM.Constants.

I've searched and can't find anything in the MoTeC PDM Manual. Is it simpy just a way to force the condition to be "true"? This particular PDM config I found had the M150 Output pin setup with an "always on" function and it had that set.

""

In that case it is the same as true. But the logic could be modified if you had a keypad setup that say turned off all power for a storage mode. if you use a function with a useful readable name like "Always On", then you don't have to add extra (and "Storage Mode" = false) all over the place.

Thank you for the clarification!
