How to provide power to the 12v switched supply of the PMU.
I have a complete ECU master set up of Emu black, PMU24, AD7 and keypad 13 keys + 2 rotary encoders. I am looking for a clean dash set up with no other buttons and have keyless start on the car now so no ignition key. I was wondering how best to supply the switched 12v to power up the PMU and keypad. The key pad will then power the ECU and display when the ignition on button is pressed. Can a master switch do this to not on reconnect the power to the live feed but also provide the switched power?
Which keyless you are going to use? If it is those generic aliexpress chinese ones, they switch a 12V just like a common ignition switch. You could wire it to the switched 12v PMU and the PMU will power up. If you want the keypad to be always on, wire its 12V together on the keyless module output. If not, wire it to one of the PMU outputs that will be always turned on.
