Hello, I cannot flash my transmission file on my LBZ duramax. I keep getting an error that says "Error: $054C: Operating System is not present in file." Thank you all for your time.
It's not possible to do a full read on an A40, if you're looking to change operating systems you'll have to first reflash the controller with an MDI. Probably the easiest workaround is to read the file off the controller and edit it instead of trying to flash a different O.S. onto the unit.
Hopefully this makes sense. Is this a new TCM, or the unit that's been running the truck all along?

Unit that has been in the truck all along. I read the transmission file, saved it, then edited only the torque limit to match the pedal to desired torque, nothing crazy. But I receive that error message and am completely stumped.
In that case, the best plan is to update your software and firmware to the latest release. Retry the process and save a debug file to send in to support to see if they can sort you out.

Software/firmware was updated and it still did not allow a flash. After submitting a ticket I was told to try cal-flashing. That worked.
