I tried a tune similar to what Nick did on the 2017 powerstroke but regardless of how insignificant my changes were my truck (2016 powerstroke) threw a DTC of "P167 Non-OEM calibration detected" after about a half hour of driving. I understand that changing the calibration is what is being done but I find it difficult to believe every tuned vehicle has this fault code. It has been suggested that I disable the DTC but I have been told, at least with HP Tuners this only disables the CEL. Am I missing something here?
I don't recall if there's another work around for this code, but I can tell you that disabling the DTC should have no adverse affects and will help you keep your sanity.

That's what I was hoping to hear. The truck's been running as I'd hoped but I was still a bit hesitant to take it too far.
