Egyptian Racer Breaking New Ground, From Karting in Egypt to Formula 4 & Mazda MX-5 – My Motorsport Journey

Hey everyone,

What a journey it’s been just a few months ago, motorsport wasn’t even on my radar, and now I’m living a dream I never thought possible.

I started racing in June 2024 with some casual rental karting on Egypt’s North Coast, just wanting to try it out. I had no expectations, but the moment I got on track, I felt like I had found my place. One thing led to another, and I joined the Rental Rotax Pro Championship and to my surprise, I won the championship by the end of the season.

That victory opened doors I never imagined, and before I knew it, I had the opportunity to go to Winfield's Formula 4 Academy in Bahrain at the iconic Bahrain International Circuit with Winfield Racing School their first ever F4 program in the Middle East. It was a historic moment, and I was honored to be one of the first Egyptians to participate me and teammates proudly carried the Egyptian flag and hopefully made a strong impression on the international stage.

Now, I’ve entered a whole new chapter. I’m racing in the BRSCC Mazda MX-5 Clubman Championship in the UK. It’s a huge step, and I’m proud to be the only Egyptian on the grid this season, and possibly the first ever to compete in this championship’s history.

To everyone in this community, I’m excited to learn from you, grow, and hopefully share some valuable insights too as I continue this path. I still consider myself at the very beginning, and I’m hungry for more. Whether it’s karting, single-seaters, or tin-tops it’s all part of the same dream.
