would making adjustments to the oil flow pathways result in a drop in oil pressure with a standard oil pump?

It depends what you're doing. If you're smoothing or adding a radius to the oil passages then you're unlikely to see an affect on oil pressure. Increasing any of your bearing clearances on the other hand can reduce oil pressure as the oil has an easier escape path back into the sump/crank case.
