Hello Everyone;

I have vipec v88r3 (link g4+) ecu,I use it on personal watercraft,I connected Haltech IC7 display via CAN line,I entered the health information as stated in the Haltech help menu ,then the ıc7 started working,but it shows errors in ecu can connection,I would appreciate it if you could help me on this issue. I measured the cannn line with a multimeter and saw 60 ohms. There is a screenshot attached

Is there OEM hardware on the CAN Bus as well? It is very uncommon for OEM CAN Buses to run at 1M, most of the PWC's are 500k or 250k CAN Buses.

There is no OEM hardware, only Haltech IC7 Display. The settings specified by Haltech for Link G4.

Also, there is only CAN 2 output on the ecu, but CAN 1 is also visible. Does the software cause this problem?

The image in your first post indicates you are transmitting to the dash on ECU CAN1, but you're saying you're outputting on ECU CAN2.

If you are physically wired from ECU CAN2 to the dash, I don't see how you'd be receiving data at the dash with the setting you've shown in your first post unless perhaps you set ECU CAN1 and ECU CAN2 to both transmit the DisplayLink profile on the same address? That would be an issue.

The following all assumes the dash is set to 1Mbit/sec as you have it and is common for Haltech dashes, but it could be less so double check and set accordingly.

If you're certain you're wired to ECU CAN2, and not wired to ECU CAN1 then change CAN1 channel 1 Mode to OFF, then CAN1 mode to OFF.

Then select CAN2, set CAN2 mode to User Defined, set bit Rate to 1Mbit/s, set CAN2 channel 1 to DisplayLink and enter the proper CAN ID, confirm format is normal.

If instead you really are wired to ECU CAN1, then make sure ECU CAN2 mode is off and leave your settings otherwise as you pictured them in your first post.

Dear Mike;

First photo is wrong, sorry, Photos of the latest settings are attached.When I make these settings, all data reaches the screen, but the errors appear as seen in the photo.Screen freezes when throttle body is opened and closed quickly

The problem is solved, Link ecu is Jose from the technical department, he advised me to reduce the bitrate from 1mbit to 500kbit and all the errors were corrected, thank you for your interest.

Thank you for posting the resolution. That's unexpected since you had both devices set to 1000 kbit/sec (1Mbit/sec) and said you had no other units on the bus to conflict with that, but I'm glad you've got things working!

Mike;

Adamw from the link ecu forum site made such a statement

(Yes, the reason 500K is needed is this ECU has a module connected to CAN2 internally to control the original K-line dashboard, this K-Line module is fixed at 500K. )

That makes a lot more sense, both the issue and the chosen solution. So there was another device on the bus, at a different speed, that wasn't known at the time. Glad it's sorted!
