1️⃣ AFR Target Selection

In the lesson, you chose an AFR target of 11.6:1. Why not use a slightly leaner target like 12.0:1 or 11.7:1?

I’d love to understand the logic behind that specific AFR choice — is it based on the fuel type, boost level, or knock sensitivity of the EJ platform?

2️⃣ Knock Ignition Table — Load Extension and Timing Choice

I noticed you extended the ignition knock control table to 3.6 g/rev, which makes sense due to the larger turbo and increased airflow.

However, I’m unclear on how to choose the timing values in those extended high-load zones.

You placed values like 6°–8°, but how do you calculate or estimate safe numbers to start with?

Should they be based on pressure ratio, AFR, or a fixed rule-of-thumb for new airflow zones?

3️⃣ Why Perform Steady-State Runs at 2000 and 3500–4000 RPM?

In the video, you did a run at ~2000 RPM, and another at ~3500–4000 RPM.

why you make these runs ?

4️⃣ MAF Rescaling Based on Fuel Trims

When rescaling the MAF, I saw that you adjusted values based on short and long-term fuel trims to bring them within ±2–3%, and also aligned AFR to the target.

Can you explain how you choose the percent correction based on the trims?

you make the change about -2.5% at the top of the maf rescaling but we have almost 4% richer than target why you choose the -2.5% not -4% in the maf rescaling

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
