HELLO
Im working on a ford raptor 2011 with a 6.6L and wipple supercharger. Im using HP tuners software and im having a issue with torque management.
can you tell me if there is a way to disable torque management? I keep getting IPC torque error going up and throttle keeps shutting and opening mostly cruising and and even in idle .. when I watch the IPC torque error goes up same time idle hunts .. as throttle closes and opens.
any ideas how to over come this issue? is there a way to complete off this torque limits occurring?
Can you post up the actual calibration and also let me know which error codes you're seeing please? This isn't a platform that I'm familiar with but I'll do my bets to help.
Hello Andre ,
Thank you for your reply. the error that I see on the VCM scanner is the IPC wheel Torque error going up as that happens DBW throttle closes and reopens once the ipc w/t error goes back to 0. i have attached a log as well
Can you attach the calibration and the log file in a .zip format and upload them please? The forum is a little fussy about what file extensions can be uploaded.
I apologise for the delay in replying - I've been nursing a sick family most of this week which has limited my forum activity.
Unfortunately in your application I'm not in a position to offer any in depth support as I have zero personal experience with reflashing this particular model. I've done some research and found your complaints are not uncommon. It appears a potential solution for this is to raise the wheel torque error value in the ETC section. This is simply information I've found from spending time on the HP Tuners forum. My understanding is that since the torque model is central to the entire PCM operation, it can't be entirely disabled.
I'm really sorry i can't offer more thorough help. Ford is on our list of worked examples to add but obviously not in a time frame that's useful to you.
