hello its brandon eisen again and i know you would rather me post my questions on the forum and i have no problem with that but i just wanted to ask for some help directly from you guys. I feel like im in over my head a little but hey thats how i do things and this is my passion so why not...but im trying to tune my car which is a 2016 wrx dit usmd but the problem is it hs a ton of modds. it was tuned by someone else and they used cobb ap but of coarse i added to it so the tune was not running right so i tried to go for it myself after going through your guys coarse. I think whats really confusing me is the difference in map names. you guys will demonstrate and your map will be called this and mine in subaruedit pro will be called something slightly different. I really dont want to blow up my car its my baby. (i know things happen when doing this type of stuff but if i can get a little bit of help so maybe it wont happen that would be great.) here is a list of my modds attached below:
what i have done so far:
1) zero out the waste gate maps since they are now being ran by my electronic boost controller so the WG duty cycle high and low every cell 0
2) changed the cells for the MAP sensor:
multiplier: 12.087 psi
offset: .168 psi
sensor voltage DTC limits max=4.92
min=.36
3) closed loop fuel target final alt: for the majority of this map i have it at 14.7
Hi Brandon, you've really jumped in the deep end here and while it's certainly not impossible to properly tune this combination as a novice, it's definitely a much more challenging place to get started. The first thing I'd suggest checking is your MAP sensor calibration. I haven't used the omni 4 bar with cobb AP however those numbers don't quite sound correct to me. With any luck you should have got a data sheet with the sensor so just confirm those are correct otherwise all bets are off. As a sanity check, make sure that the reading with the key on but the engine off is atmospheric pressure.
In order to provide you with some real help here I'm going to need a better idea of what you are struggling with. At the moment you've listed the parts installed but not actually stated what issues you're having. At best I can almost guarantee that your MAF scaling will likely be out so I'd start by getting that dialled in so your AFR is tracking your target. Beyond this the process really should follow the worked example where you're going to be dialling in your target AFR and ignition timing to suit.
