H folks.
Im struggling to understand why the changes I am making to the Load Comp table are not making much difference once I re-log the car.
After making some changes (mainly adding to the Load Comp table in the 3200-3400 RPM range), when logging and going back through the histograms in MLHDV I'm still seeing huge Total Trims in the same area to which would ultimately be asking me to add a further 10-20% in some parts of the table to rectify. I'd be up in the realms of 40/50% more in the Load Comp table which doesnt seem right to me.
I plan to make changes to the FPR with an aftermarket solution anyway and I understand the drawbacks of the factory fuel system and have read about several work arounds but I'd really like to understand how to map around the factory setup.
I believe its best to address this in CL first and then re-check in OL with my Wideband to make any more changes / tweaks? I noticed Andre switches between Total Trim and AFR Error in the worked example video and its not quite clear to me when he says that hes finished and ready to move onto the next process - he's looking at a histogram with the AFR Error and not the Total Trim he began working with.
Perhaps the definition of the table is not correct. If a change you make seems to only make one half of what you expect, then try a change that is twice as large. I would try to make a 5% change in a stable area, and see if the values of 5, 10 or 50 give you the 5% result.
