To confirm my understanding: Subaru uses both sensors to calculate the air entering the engine. However, if engine modifications exceed the air mass the MAF sensor can read, the velocity density method would have to be used, eliminating the MAF sensor and replacing the MAP sensor with one capable of reading the modified pressure in the intake manifold. Is this correct?
