What if you don't have access to a dyno. Do you simply run a road pull and go from there and set advance timing off kr
We will be updating the reflashing course very shortly with some information on how to optimise the tune if you don't have dyno access. Essentially though yes - It's a case of finding the knock threshold. This isn't always a bullet proof solution though if the engine you're tuning isn't knock limited as you can end up advancing the timing beyond MBT. In greater than 90% of cases though, and particularly on turbocharged engines running pump gas, the knock threshold will be your limiting point and in this case you can get essentially identical results on the road or on the dyno.
