Hey guys,

Looking for a bit more insight into VVT tuning on a late model STi. I understand the general concepts but I'm trying to find out what everyone is running with success. I'm looking for some insight into two aspects: Fuel economy in cruise and max airflow during and throughout peak load regions. Obviously the Dyno is the answer to most of these, which I currently do not have access to at the moment. I also understand the package deal w/ VVT, AFR and Timing to create the optimal calibration and/or power. So I'm looking for a starting point or some reason/rhyme as to the settings I should run. A good description on theory and how these should work in unison to get a desired result. Do I want my exhaust cams more retarded during cruise for scavenging? To what end? Where have you guys seen the most benefit to mpg(cruise) and for max airflow during spool and at peak load? Our changing temps down here are skewing my readings on these changes from runs in the evening to runs in the morning so I'd love some feedback into what you guys think and how you expect it to work. Especially those with a dyno.

Thanks!
