Hello everyone!

I wired my haltech sprint 500 to my Suzuki Jimny 1.3 petrol

This vehicle comes with only camshaft sensor ( I add photo of it ), and 2 coils module wasted spark

one coil for cylinder 1 and 4 and the second coil for cylinder 3 and 2.

I check my wiring at least ten time and everything is good.

The ECU configure on wasted spark and sequentiall for the injectors.

My problem is that I cant configure the camshaft trigger, i dont recived feedback of rpm and the light gun dont flash.

The camshaft trigger is wired on the 'Home' Signal.

Please help I really desperate

Thanks!

There are some engines that don't use a 'Home' sensor at all and the information required comes from the Trigger input. In this case you can't run sequential injection or direct fire coil on plug ignition. The requirement however would be for Haltech to have a trigger mode written for this exact trigger input. The ECU manager software lists a 'Suzuki' option for the trigger input but there is no more information on what that trigger wheel is.

I know we had a similar Suzuki engine at one point and we needed to modify the trigger wheel to give the ECU a signal it could use. I'd start by contacting Haltech or the dealer you purchased through and confirm if the trigger wheel you have is supported.

Ok I will check it with Haltech.

If there is no option to opearate the stock sensor,

I Guess you mean to modify crankshaft sensor, and not use the stock sensor at all?

If so I cant run sequential even like that, I am right?

which sensor you recommend to me to modify (simple, good and cheap that serve the purpose well)?

Thanks!

With that sensor you won't be able to run sequential injection.

The best option would be to modify the existing sensor to a single tooth and use this as a home signal with a new trigger disc on the crank pulley. Options here are quite extensive - A 12 tooth trigger wheel or a 36-2 would be two of the more common options. The 36-2 gives a little more flexibility with the location of the home signal where as the 12 tooth wheel requires very careful placement so the home signal occurs close to exactly half way between two of the trigger inputs.

Alright,

First, I want to ask if the stock ecu didnt run sequential injection too because it has just this cam sensor? or just the aftermarket ecu

cant handle with sequential injection with one sensor?

Second, how can i modify the existing sensor to a single tooth? there is need to make changes in the software by Haltech, or i am wrong?

Third, I need to weld the 36-2 disc on my pulley? which sensor company support this disc? and it is VR sensor?

I heard about 36-2 and 36-1-1 discs if you can explain the changes and what the differences and whats better.

Thanks!!!
