Andre mentioned a common reliability issue with Bosch generic connectors. Does this also apply to the EFI Hardware DBW assembly that uses Bosch internals? Is it a matter of sourcing a high quality connector or is it just better to solder and pot flying leads to a Deutsch DTM?
Andre and I were discussing this just the other day as a current project uses a BMW yaw sensor that looks to have the same connector. The issue seems to be the design of the type of connector housing on the DBW throttle bodies. The EFI Hardware unit uses all the Bosch internals including the connector. I've tried a few different suppliers etc for these connectors in the past but I've never found anything I was super confident in compared to others.
For the sake of some minor extra time and materials, I go straight to potting with a flying lead to a DTM or Autosport connector.
