Hello, I successfully learned to tune my older LBZ duramax with EFI Live through these course. With the same method, I attempted to tune an E98 ECM (2.8 Duramax canyon) to no success. On a facebook forum I was told something about CAX files with controller addresses and winOLS? Can someone elaborate on this, I have both HPT and EFI equipment and have nearly finished the WinOLS course. How do tuners send you a HPT or EFI file that has been edited with winOLS(If that is a thing)?

Tuners would send out files the same way. WinOLS allows you to find maps and tables that are not defined in the EFI Live/HP Tuners software. Once you identify these extra maps you can use CAX/user defined parameters to allow these to be visible in the software. This requires the correct address, offset, and factor for each entry. The hard part is finding the maps.
