Former F1 Data Engineer Explains Race Telemetry | MoTeC [TECH TALK]

Without data, all you have is an opinion and arguably compromised performance.

With systems more popular and cheaper than ever from dedicated data standalone solutions to using a tablet or mobile device, it has never been easier to gather, and the analyze the details in your data. From car setup to driver performance, live mechanical reports and more, you have the power to pinpoint where and how improvements can be made, or when maybe you've hit diminishing gains.

Former F1 Electronics Technician/2nd Engineer, V8 Supercars Holden Racing Team Systems Engineer and now MoTeC Operations Manager Ty Anderson runs us through some of the data engineers are watching on their telemetry screens along with how it is transmitted from car to pits, and vice versa, via cellular or radio signal as well as what some of the key aspects focused on when it comes to sifting through streams and streams of data on race weekend.
