Setting up ECU Inputs

00.57

00:00 - In this section, we're going to look at setting up and configuring inputs to the ECU.
00:05 Inputs can be broken down into analog voltage, analog temperature and digital inputs.
00:11 Analog voltage inputs are used for inputs which typically produce a zero to five volt output.
00:17 These inputs can be used for a wide range of sensors but the typical ones we would want to set up include a manifold pressure sensor, and a throttle position sensor.
00:26 Analog temperature inputs take the signal from a two wire temperature sensor which varies in resistance dependent on temperature.
00:34 These are typically used for engine temperature and air temperature.
00:38 A digital input is a signal that simply changes state from a high voltage to a low voltage.
00:44 These are usually used as a switch input such as clutch switch, but can also be used to measure frequency inputs from speed sensors.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
