Step 5 : Initial Startup ( Touchscreen )

02.40

00:00 Alright, we've already got our engine started using our laptop software but for the sake of completeness we'll just have a look at what you'd be doing if you're using the touchscreen and really as we've discussed here, there's not a lot of tuning control with that touchscreen so there's not a lot for us to do.
00:15 Let's have a look at the screen though and see what we need to consider.
00:19 So, first of all we're just going to confirm a couple of things here, we'll come into our tuning and we'll click on basic and we want to click on our closed loop learn.
00:27 So, closed loop, we know that we've got our closed loop enabled and if we go to our fuel learn, we've also got that enabled.
00:33 So, this time, unlike with our laptop software, we're using this to allow full self learning, we've got our closed loop control and then those numbers are going to over time be transferred into our learning table.
00:44 We'll head back here and the other thing we want to look at is our basic idle.
00:49 Just confirm as per our original configuration, our target hot idle speed there is 750 RPM.
00:56 Alright, let's head back to our home screen and what we can do now is go into our monitor screen and we can go into multi gauge and in this case we're going to click on vital.
01:06 So, we're going to have our engine RPM, our closed loop status and our learn status, we're going to have our battery voltage and our measured air fuel ratio here as well as our idle air control valve position.
01:18 So, now just like we did with our laptop software, we're going to use a little bit of throttle here and we're just going to crank the engine and get it to run and have a look at how everything settles down.
01:33 Alright, so again our engine started up fine and we can see that our measured air fuel ratio started quite rich there in the nines, I'll just get completely off the throttle here.
01:42 And we can see that our closed loop status has gone into closed loop control so this will be now pulling our fueling down towards our target.
01:51 Let's jump out of this screen and have a look at one that's going to give us a little bit more relevant information around how that fueling's working out.
01:58 Alright, so we can see on this screen here now we've got our measured air fuel ratio and our target, we've got our current closed loop compensation so at the moment we can see we're pulling 8% fuel out and we are right on our target so everything's working.
02:10 At the moment our learn status is showing that it's not learning so we really need at this point to allow the engine to completely warm up.
02:17 We can see we're idling a little bit higher but probably just as a result of the fact that we're still in that cold start where we've got that higher target idle speed.
02:26 I'm completely off the throttle, I really had to do nothing here, the sniper did exactly what it was supposed to and has us up and running.
02:34 So, we're ready to move on to our next step of the process.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
