Boost Controller Solenoids Valves
Hello what about the 4 ports MAC valve solenoids what is the advantage or disadvantage between 3 and 4 ports
Especially on twin turbo cars like Porsche stuff
Andre has covered this fairly often, feels like most times boost control comes up in an interview lol.
4 port can get a wide range of boost pressures but has poor resolution and is harder to control compared to a 3 port.
There's 2 ways to plumb a 3 port with an external gate, depends what you're trying to achieve.
Turbosmart has great diagrams in their wastegate instructions, including twin turbo setups. I'd recommend taking a look at them.

Yes I do the plumbing as Turbo Smart recommendations. Looks like I will keep my 3 port set as standard.
