Hello,

Is Big Endian/Little Endian a parameter that must be consistent across all messages on a given bus, meaning every PID sent on that bus MUST be Big Endian or Little Endian. Or can both Big/Little Endian messages be on the same bus (given all devices on the bus know which messages are Big/Little Endian). Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,

DJ

They can both be on the same bus given the modules involved know what to expect on each ID so they can be properly sent and decoded.

yes. as long as nothing has the same message ID, you'll be fine.

most systems will only allow definition of a message's signals as big endian or little endian , but nothing in the actual CAN standard will prevent you from using both big endian or little endian in the same message..

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
