I have a Link WRXLink WRX6X and am trying to interface with an AEM X-SERIES UEGO over CAN-BUS.
What I'm seeing is the Lambda value flickering between 0 (the error value) and full lean (some high value because the car is off).
My best guess is a wiring issue but the crimps look good (I removed the heat-shirk to re-check), resistance confirmed good, and continuity test passes no problem. The cable is built out of the AEM pigtail and a pigtail for the JST XAF CAN connector on the ECU.
As a work around, I've wired the analog ground and output and retained power from the CAN port which is working no problem.
Picture for fun:
Attach a log and a copy of your tune.
Thanks Adam, I will definitely get you a log! I've battling a coolant leak near the turbo which is slowing down my progress haha.
I'm not sure if this datalog actually captured any sporadic Lambda readings - I may need to double check that this tune had the correct CAN setup and try again to capture a log.
Lambda is not working at all in that log and the reason is you have the Lambda 1 control set to a CAN AN. It should be set to "Link CAN" in this case as your CAN stream is set up to write to the Lambda 1 runtime.
Thank you Adam, I think that that worked! I managed to get a log where the Lambda does toggle but switching to linkCAN, it's holding at full lean. It's too late here to fire the car in residential but I'll test soon and let you know!
Lambda1 set to LinkCAN did it Adam, thank you so much!
