I have a Link G4+ , with an Ecumasters ADU on Can Bus 2 . I would like to also receive data from the ADU to the ECU . I would assume that this should be on a different Can ID .

Also planning on adding a CanChecked MCE18 that will be on Can Bus 1 . Now since the ECU will be also receiving data from this will the CAN ANX be the same for what the ADU is transmiting and the MCE ? For example if I have an input on the ADU AN 1 and then something as well on the MCE18 AN 1 , will 1 input try to cover the other and not get proper readings ? Is it possible to have for example the ECU to receive AN1 from ADU and the AN 2 from the MCE ?

Any suggestions on how to go as organized as possible to do such a thing ?

TIA

The ecu will have no idea what data is coming from what device, all it looks for is whatever ID you tell it to then takes the data from that message and writes it to whatever variable you have it set up to receive.

So for example "AN1" from the MCE18 might be received as "Oil Pressure" at the ecu end and "AN1" from the ADU might be received as "Fuel Pressure".

However be aware the G4+ has a quite limited CAN bus receive functionality, there is only a small list of variables that can be received over CAN, so before wasting your money of further devices I would first check that you can receive the data that you intend.
