Hello friends

I am searching for the can bus frame message for T42 TCM to know its on 4wd low

Its a 4wd buggy powered by 2.4l ecotech engine,

4l60e rwd trans and np241 transfer case.

T42 TCM and E67 ECM

The transmission shifts good at high ( normal mode) but do not shift properly at low, since it has not switched to cal B mode.

As i understand the command on a stock vehicle comes through the can bus lines from the T case control module, trigger by a micro switch

I dont have a stock car to decode from..

Hope you guys can help me.

Have you captured any messages on the CAN bus coming from the T42 TCM? What tools are you using (or what have you tried?).

Do you have the wiring info for the T42 TCM from a factory workshop manual? Do you know where to wire the micro-switch?

I have the T42 wiring diagrams.

The T42 does not have a 4WD LOW input wire, its a messsage coming through the can bus lines from T case module or the BCM which both of it i don't have

It is not a factory car , it is a buggy

So i won't even try to decode the bus because this message won't be there.

As i see it i have two options:

1) Is to find a factory 4WD car using this T42 TCM which i hardly believe i can find, and connect a can bus recorder, moving the T case lever back and forth, and hopefully find the message frame

2) try to ask in this forum and may be someone alredy done it and can share with me this info

You explained it better that second time. I think your best bet is to find forums with enthusiasts for those vehicles, and get someone interested in CAN to grab the data for you.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
