I have a question regarding boost control, 3 port. Open loop.
I have the ecu setup on the bench and simulating ECU inputs. I have a regulated compressor providing constant air supply to port 1, let's say set it 15 psi. Port 3 is my vent. Port 2 I have connected a pressure gauge. I have boost control frequency set to 25hz, and say I apply a duty cycle of 50%, the Mac valve will turn off and on as expected. It sits there and buzzes away. My pressure gauge on port 2, the needle vibrates wildly like I would have suspected.
The question is, do you apply filtering to the pressure switch output when sensing waste gate dome pressure?
For example an averaging equation so the data can be logged and useful.
But your ECU / Boost controller will never measure this pressure, only the "response" that occurs in the intake manifold or pre-throttle turbo plumbing. Some people measure the wastegate position,
