Hello all, I am wondering if there is an equation that can be used to calculate the expected Air mass more accurately than the Theoretical airflow equation, specifically if one could use the camshaft specifications in an equation to get a more accurate air mass value to start with when tuning after a large camshaft installation. Thank you in advance to any responses!
You know it would have to go up the open time and more lift is to pull more air in. IF stock cam pull a value of air if a % of how much biger cam is you may could figure it
I think you might be able to do this with some of the engine simulation tools. It's not a simple equation, but an airflow model that is run. Check out this one to see if it will do what you want:
