Hi, I'm trying to configure standalone ECU for my Citroen CX 25 GTi
Engine is 2500ccm NA, compression ratio 8.75:1, bore 93mm, stroke 92mm and 2 valves per cylinder
Originally, the engine was fitted with AEI electronic ignition using two coils and a wasted spark setup.
Now, I want to switch to full sequential ignition and injection using COP coils and Bosch EV14 injectors.
I found these ignition graphs (see attachment) in the service manual:
- the first graph is ignition advance relative to engine RPM
- the second is advance correction for engine load - on the X axis, there are two sets of points: D1 is in mBar, D2 is in mmHg
-- this is a vacuum (depression) value, so 0 is 100 kPa absolute, and 400 mBar would be 60 kPa absolute.
I can use these graphs to build a 3D ignition table.
My question is: is this a good idea, or should I use some general ignition table as a starting point?
thank you
